Avisha is a scientist specialized in translating complicated research into accessible language–with a special focus on fighting health misinformation, which he has been doing with the World Health Organization as part of Operation FIDES and the United Nations as part of Team Halo. His videos have received over 100 million views across a range of platforms. Avisha serves as CEO of Distilled Science LLC, the Chief Technology Officer of Birya Biotech, and Venture Partner at MedStartr Venture Fun. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Maryland with a Masters's in engineering, Avisha’s areas of expertise include SARS-CoV-2, air quality, health optimization, online misinformation, signal processing and machine learning. Avisha spent years developing and carrying out Quality Control programs for MRI machines in hospitals around the country before leaving to found his own biotech company focused on fighting price-gouging in the pharmaceutical and medical device spaces.
